preserve wedding bouquet in shadow box with flat lay design, dried flowers

Deciding to preserve your wedding bouquet is often considered a “splurge” when breaking down your wedding budget. We frequently hear that the couple will reach back out if they end up having wiggle room in their budget. While we completely understand that this service is more of a luxury than a need when looking at wedding components, there are a few reasons that we think it is worth it.

Wedding Flowers Are Expensive

You spend a lot of money on your wedding florals. It truly breaks our hearts to see hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of beautiful arrangements thrown away at the end of the night. Even setting your bouquet in a vase at home means you will only be able to enjoy it for a limited amount of time. Let’s say you spend $300 on your bridal bouquet and admire it for a week. That’s nearly $45 per day for your bouquet! If you preserve it and it lasts for years, it only amounts to a few cents a day. You can call it “girl math”, but we think that’s a pretty great deal. 😉

It is a Beautiful Way to Remember Your Wedding

Preserving your wedding flowers is a great way to have a keepsake from your wedding! Of course photos are always wonderful to capture the whole day, but your wedding flowers encompass the vision of your wedding that you worked so hard to build throughout planning. Whether it was simple elegance or bursting colors, it was a huge contribution to the vibe of the day. Take the opportunity to preserve that for years to come and display it in your home with your significant other! Plus, if the flowers begin to fade years down the road, we offer discounted anniversary recreations to our couples!

Post-Wedding Blues

One of the reasons our couples have enjoyed preserving their bouquets is to combat the “post-wedding blues”. Basically, after all the hustle and bustle of planning for months (or years) comes to an end and the celebration is over, there can be a lingering feeling of melancholy. This is more common than you would think, and preserving your bouquet is a great way to help. After your wedding wraps up and you come home from your honeymoon, you still have a piece of your wedding planning in progress. We keep consistent communication to update you on your preservation piece and it helps ease you out of the wedding planning you’ve been wrapped up in for so long. We have had brides contact us after their wedding in hopes to have their leftover flowers preserved. Even though we always do our best to help out in these situations, it is always best to plan for it ahead of time to ensure a successful preservation and that there will be availability!
