Whimsical Winter Styled Shoots

We are so excited to share this trio of whimsical winter styled shoots we were a part of with Julie Carroll Photography! There is so much that goes into planning a successful styled shoot, so we want to share how this process looked for us as dried flower specialists. 

We got connected with Julie Carroll Photography through Marissa Hoosline Hair, who was a vendor participating in the styled shoot. Julie had expressed interest in having a flower crown to complete her vision, so Marissa recommended us as she knew we create dried flower crowns (thanks Marissa)! 

Once we were in contact with Julie and saw her vision board for the shoots, we knew it was going to be absolutely stunning! After chatting, we decided on creating a comb and a crown to be used in her 3 shoots. The goal was to have the pieces match the two dresses, as well as the beautiful fresh flowers from Juniper Rose Floral. We kept in close contact with Julie while making both of our hairpieces to ensure that we were staying in line with her vision, and she was so fun to work with! 

We used a variety of dried flowers to create our pieces including: 
– Sea lavender
– Light blue & misty lavender larkspur
– White & light blue bunny tail
– Winged everlasting
– Baby’s breath
– Lavender statice

Our pieces started out at Brooke Elisabeth Studio for Julie Carroll’s two indoor shoots. Her first model, Ania, wore an adorable tulle dress from Milla with our hair comb. Cactus Mane nailed the hair and makeup, but we especially love how the thick braid compliments our hairpiece! 

Her second model wore a light blue ruffled gown from Milla with our crown. The white walls of this studio allowed for our whimsical flower crown to be easily visible, so Julie Carroll captured all those intricate details for you to see! 

Last, but certainly not least, was the showstopper styled shoot at the Ice Castle! When we heard that Julie would be using our crown while knocking this beautiful location off of her bucket list, we were so excited! Dani Mae Artistry and Marissa Hoosline Hair perfected the model’s glam. Luckily, Julie Carroll Photography was able to capture these stunning winter wonderland photos with the glacial blue ice right before Minnesota got a huge snowstorm. 

This trio of whimsical winter styled shoots was so fun to be a part of! Julie’s light and airy photography style complimented the colors and locations perfectly. We greatly appreciate Julie Carroll Photography including us in these shoots and loved having the opportunity to work with these amazing vendors!
